Job Description:
Our client is a leading regional bank looking for an experienced retail banking executive to lead its Retail Banking business across different geographies. This role has end-to-end responsibility for retail strategy, performance, and customer outcomes, and partners closely with Group Executive leadership to drive sustainable growth, innovation, and market leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the Group-wide Retail Banking strategy aligned with overall business and growth objectives
- Lead all aspects of Retail Banking performance, including P&L, balance sheet growth, product profitability, and cost efficiency
- Drive customer-centric transformation across branches, digital channels, and product propositions
- Oversee development and optimisation of retail products spanning deposits, lending, payments, and wealth-related offerings
- Partner with Group functions (Risk, Finance, Technology, Compliance, HR) to ensure robust governance and execution
- Develop strong leadership teams and future leaders across Retail Banking
- Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory developments to inform strategy
- Represent Retail Banking at executive, Board, and external stakeholder forums
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline (MBA or equivalent preferred).
- 20+ years of progressive leadership experience in Retail Banking within large, complex financial institutions.
- Proven track record of leading multi-market retail banking operations with full P&L accountability.
- Deep understanding of retail banking products, customer economics, and distribution.
- Strong experience driving large-scale transformation, including digital and customer experience initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to lead senior leadership teams and influence at Executive Committee and Board level.
- Strong commercial acumen, risk awareness, and regulatory understanding.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
